Mother said,
'Now, now, be a good girl.'
How could she know
of my inner sorrow
that bursts out at night;
All what I did
was not so splendid:
crying with all my might.
Mother said,
'Now, now, clean that room of yours!'
Little did she care
of my shy prayer
to be left all alone.
The break of day,
so fully grey
made my mind be blown.
Mother said:
'Come here, my little fairy!'
But it was too late,
determined by fate -
I was already grown up.
'Now, now, be a good girl.'
How could she know
of my inner sorrow
that bursts out at night;
All what I did
was not so splendid:
crying with all my might.
Mother said,

But it was too late,
determined by fate -
